The Milwaukee Zoo

We decided to do a trip to the Milwaukee Zoo based on a recommendation from Cara and Mike Silverman. We invited Uncle Rob and his friend Kristen. It took about an hour-ten to get there but had to wait in line for about 40 minutes because it happened to be a taste-of festival.
Maddie sported her poncho and quickly became a hit with the crowd.

Kissing Cousins and 9 Month Check up

Daddy took the camera with to a beer festival this weekend, so Mommy didn't get a lot of good pictures of Maddie with her cousins. It was a great weekend - Grandma, Auntie Amy, Uncle Dave, Connor, Aaron stayed with us for a couple of nights and Auntie Lorrie, Uncle Kevin, Jessica and Amanda came for a fun BBQ. Connor is Mr. Wiggles II (Aaron was the first) and now Maddie has started to roll all over the place. She will be crawling in no time!

Maddie had her 9 month check up today and got two vaccinations and her blood drawn from her middle finger. She was great! Here she shows off the band aid she got where they took blood - she didn't even cry when they pricked her finger. She's now 27" long (25 percentile) and 17 pounds, 4 ounces (16 percentile). We're so proud!

We bought a fun splash mat for Maddie to play with in the backyard. She loves it!

Three Lakes 2009

We vacationed at Three Lakes for a week starting on July 20th. The weather was supposed to be bad, but it turned out to be nice all week.
First thing we did when we go there was feed Maddie in the boat.
We spent time on the dock and Maddie sported a Mohawk.
Maddie also got to float around in the water - the lake temp was 72.
